Halloween Makeup

Wednesday, November 2nd, 2011

So I didn’t really do anything for Halloween.  I had to be at work at 0600 Halloween day, and had to be in at the same time the next day.  I wanted to wear drag makeup to work originally, but didn’t have the energy for that at 0430 while I was getting ready.  I ended up doing a spinoff of a look that Nymphette, that was actually a spinoff from a Rihanna video.

I used Sugarpill’s Love +, Bulletproof, and Mac Fluidline in BlackTrack.  This took all of 5 minutes to do.  I didn’t catch a photo of it, but I paired it with a black lip.  I worked with 4 guys that morning, and only ONE of them had the balls to ask me what was going on w/ my makeup, lol!!  I had fun with it though.

My IMATS LA 2011 experience

Monday, June 27th, 2011

I did it!  I finally made it to IMATS!  As I’m sure most of you guys realize, IMATS has always been out of reach for me, since I lived in Okinawa.  However I’m back in CA now (duh) and I’ve been planning to go since the day I set toe back here.  All in all, I am so happy I made it!  I set a limit for myself of $300, and I left any cards I had at home.  I’ll tell you the pros and cons of the day, and a haul photo (and list) will be at the end :)

My non-traditional Valentine

Sunday, February 13th, 2011

I don’t know about you people, but to me Valentine’s day is useless.  Up until I got married, I never really had a good V-day.  After I got married, I had good ones but I never understood the point.  I love my husband 24/7/365.  We have birthdays and anniversaries to celebrate, so why do we need yet another day to single out our love to each other?  We show each other our love all day every day, so V-day is quite pointless to us.  Of course, being a girl I still make him send me flowers every once in a while, lol.  Seeing as how I don’t believe in a traditional V-day,

Just call me a copy-cat

Saturday, November 27th, 2010

This post is looooong overdue.  A while back now, “The Chemist” (for those of you that don’t know, the actual chemist for Fyrinnae), tweeted a link to a blog, talking about how awesome this guy was.  Well let me tell you, he was right.  The link was to Cosmetic Viking.  He posts the most beautiful looks, and has become a real inspiration to me.  All the looks that he does seem to work really well for me.  I saw this look, and just HAD to copy it.   I could’ve blended the inner eyes a little more, and this really needed lashes, but I’m still very happy with the results.  (Oh, and subscribe to his blog!!!  He really is so amazing, and so sweet <3)
