Fyrinnae haulage, and a small update on my son.

Helloooo, out there!  *taps mic* Is this thing on?  Oh, there you are!  Hello readers, new and old :)  I hope you guys all had a FABULOUS weekend.  I did, and you want to know why?  My men are home :)  I really missed my husband and my son,  and now that they’re home things can finally return somewhat to normal.

For those of you who don’t know, and that is many of you, my son now has a “diagnosis”.  He has Colpocephaly.   There really is not a lot of information on it, but to the best that I can understand, it is a birth defect.  Something happens between 2-6 mths pregnant that does not allow the brain to form correctly.  I hate to say it, but basically my son’s brain has not formed to be the same size as a normal brain.  Now, a lot of things that I have found on it say that kids that have this have very SMALL heads.  This is not the case with my son, his head is actually on the larger side of the spectrum.  I am hoping that will work towards his favor.  Colpocephaly can be very mild, or very very severe.  The doctor has said that my son can have a normal life, and that is what I now live for.   Unfortunately, it also means that our time in Okinawa, Japan is over.  He also needs an eye surgery, and he needs therapy 2-3 times a week to ensure that he is learning and developing properly.  That is a need that just can’t be met with the small medical resources that we have available here to the military.   We will be living somewhere in San Diego.  I have faith, and I am going to do everything that I can for my son to have a normal and happy, healthy life.
Ok, now for the FUN stuff!!! Who doesn’t love to see a little Fyrinnae haulage?
Reincarnation – red enhanced with tiny reflective sparkles (not gritty glitter!). The sparkles are varying hues of blue and purple, changing to pink/orange in some lighting, making this a multi-dimensional shade. The varying hues of sparkle make it more wearable for different skintones than a regular “warm” or “cool” red.
Tangerine-Vanilla scent (smells like a creamsicle, but not heavy).

Shangri-La – , azalea purple-pink. Much brighter than Hysteric.
Strawberry Cotton Candy scent

Okinawa Beauty – No description for this yet, as it has not yet been added to the site.  Something like a chocolate brick red.  Its a good mix of red and brown.  A little dark on me, but it looks beautiful when I sheer it out!  Named for one of their favorite bands (I can’t find the tweet saying which one) and…..ME!  WHOO-HOO!  When they told me what it was named for, I was having a poopy wedding anniversary day, and they totally made it better!

Row 1:
Lights of Hong Kong – N/A
Species 8472 – sandy taupe, slightly shimmering with just a touch of soft red sparkles. Subtle overall, but catch the light like tiny flickering flames. December 2009.
Lights of Tokyo – N/A
Forbidden Lover – Multi-hued lilac covered in lighter pink & lavender shimmer and sparkle.
Evocation – , not gold. Gentle, slightly shimmery taupe with a highlight that changes from a pale blue-green to soft rose/coral. December 2009.
Liquor is Quicker – , glittery silver-white sprinkled with pale green sparkles
Leshii – lilac with copper and turquoise shimmer highlights.
Twinkle Twinkle Little Bat – the “Mad Tea Party” collection of half-past March 2009.
A mauve-sort of shade, packed with pink sparkle, shimmer, and and a hint of blue sparkle for good measure. Somewhat pink, somewhat lavender, and very sparkly.

Row 2:
Biker Chic – blue sparkles on a black base can create a fun glittery look, or apply wet for foil-like glam. Photos do this shade no justice at all. (“chic”, not “chick”)
Freya – shade is a glowing purple-burgundy shimmer on black. It has an opaque soft black base when applied ofver Pixie Epoxy or wet, but apply dry and you can get a more muted appearance. Makes a great liner.
The Randy Ferret - deep smokey forest green with a touch of lighter green & teal shimmer, and subtle purple sparkles throughout. Base hues are similar to Tabloid and Japan, and coordinates with both. May 2009
Princess of Darkness – shade is a rich berry-magenta with a slight satin finish. Coordinates well with Tapir. Halloween 2009
Love Potion – Potion is a vivid pink (leans warm) with a highlight of green and aqua shimmer. Move it close to the light and you get a striking, almost metallic pink-coral. New in 2/2009.
Sluagh – (pronounced “sloo-ah”) Dark violet with a bright copper shimmer.  This shade always photographs like a bruise! It’s much prettier in person, with an actual purple-hued base, not brown or reddish.
Parental Advisory – shimmery royal purple. Almost two-toned because it has a blue base, yet the shimmer takes on a slightly iridescent reddish hue.
Not lip-safe.
Aztec Gold – metallic coppery gold over a green base. Not lip-safe.

I am ABSOLUTELY wondering what took me so long to order Love Potion, Parental Advisory, Sluagh, The Randy Ferret, and Twinkle Twinkle Little Bat.  Oh, and Aztec Gold.  They are all so GORGEOUS!!!!
I really happened to like this bronzer, and I’m happy that this bronzer works for me.  I’ve noticed that a lot of these indie company’s idea of “medium” or “dark” means that you just barely have color to your skin.   Case in point:  every DARK foundation color that I tried from Aromaleigh was still too light for my skin.  I fall into the medium/tan range, so um yea…….  Fortunately the boys at Fyrrinnae NEVER let me down.  I also love that this bronzer has grey tones to it.  I use bronzer as a contouring powder, and grey naturally shows up in shadows.   I think I need to order a full size.  That’s a good thing…because I forgot to order my primer!  Oops.
Well, see anything you guys like?
